Having a four month old I find this is a great set of pointers. However, the one about seeing faces is tough in the time of Covid. Would love to introduce our child to more people, but a bit tough with masks and social distancing. I do love getting out with them though and seeing how excited and stimulated they are when they are around people in a safe setting.
Yeah number 6 made me a bit sad. My little guy is almost 2 and in the past year he hasn’t been able to hang with too many people other than his parents unfortunately. They’re resilient though, they’ll get through it!
My kids always loved bedtime stories; now my grandkids do too. Our family’s primary fun is hanging out over a good meal and talking with each other. Listening is SO important, too. Little ones love being heard and understood.
This is great - I'd love to see something that speaks to older kids as well in this same, direct fashion. Understanding why kids do what they do is enormously helpful.
I felt this was elegantly written, the analogies sound and meaningful. Truly one of the best on parenting I have read. Simple, direct and very affective if implemented.
Loved this, good read ... it’s going to take a lot of patience to let my child throw Cherrios because she is learning physics .

Great rules and suggestions for stimulating growing brains.

Great.....Still unwrapping the Cheerios recommendation but all these concepts seem helpful.
I loved this .... loving and nurturing and fostering curiosity and language skills.

I was worried that I’ll need to remember 7 difficult things. Turns out these points feel pretty much like common sense
