Any encouragement on the Alzheimer’s front is worth reading about. This is right up there with cancer and ALS in being so devastating to victims and loved ones. So happy to learn of some interesting research and progress.
Very interesting to learn their habits. The obvious thing is they all really have drive!
As a grandmother myself, I felt the importance of the role. My father’s mother, Grandmom Katie, was the only grandmother I knew. She was awesome and made me feel as the children in this story. Bittersweet because we always lose them.
A basic flaw in our strategy there was a lack of understanding of the culture in my opinion. We go in and try to make other countries into our image and likeness. The Russian involvement should’ve been a cautionary tale for us.
I have NO idea about recommending this article since I have no idea what it’s talking about. I have two master’s degrees but crypto was NOT in my curriculum!!!

What a superb and disturbing article. It’s reassuring to see that we still have some Americans in power who are moral and uphold our constitution.
This makes me interested in how the conflicts between taxi and Uber drivers were finally worked out. I have to say, coming from a small town with about one taxi service, I LOVE using Uber when I’m In cities.
I’m delighted to read this and I hope we can also welcome Ukraine into NATO.
What a nightmare! I truly could not do without the functions on my iPhone!
I use google all the time and am really distraught to hear how the culture has changed there for the workers. But that seems to be happening to workers in almost every setting. It’s SO demoralizing that profit is the only motive. I’d love to hear about some good companies.
I thought the comments about how our cell phones are made were incredibly telling. I haven’t been out there protesting and I’m still using my iPhone so who am I to judge?
I was especially impressed that Junot admitted he had an erection while being raped. That has to be incredibly confusing and add to a victim’s shame and attempts at invulnerability. It helped me understand why his mask was so resilient. Such a blessing he found a superior therapist and could quit hurting himself and others.
I agree with the other two commenters that this article contains little new information. Most of us already know that whatever is the opposite of our normal impulses is what's going to help us live longer. Ice cream or kale—you know what I mean?!
Having recently survived a stroke myself, I avidly read this actress’s story. I suffered no permanent damage and it was a relief to discover she healed beyond her expectations. She vividly captures the terror of such an expected brain failure. I had no pain, so her drive, courage and perseverance are all the more remarkable to me especially as she went through it all in the public eye. I’ve never seen one episode of Game of Thrones but that didn’t prevent my being riveted to her account.
The rhythm in this story took me back to the absurdist play, Waiting for Godot. For me, it was a tale with no solace but compelling in its sequencing of events, odd characters coming and going, the mother’s predicament. I’m asking myself if I’m glad I read it. It has made me think, a plus. But it hasn’t been helpful for my end of life insecurities.
Interesting to see what the red flags are today. Makes me happy to be 55 years married and not on a dating app.
