Bravo, Dellwood! For the mouse-related bravery and the writing-related bravery!

        😘🧚🏽🦄

Thank you for your indelible Inspiration, Amigão.

I know I am not alone in enthusiastic eager anticipation of more non-ReadUp (enjoy that too, though, make no mistake) publishing from your inkwell, also.

    • DellwoodBarker2 years ago

Hi! This is my first published writing in a loooooing time. A recent experience with a mouse and how the experience translates inwardly.

I am setting a new May goal to write and publish regularly.

      More to come. Thanks 🙏🏼

Also, my WordPress is actually humming.verbs; not nightowlinkwell. I changed it. Not reflecting change just yet.

I noticed at least two word typos...oops.

DellwoodBarker — thank you for sharing your writing and bits and pieces of what must be a personal, transformative journey you are on.

This one got a chuckle out of me:

He is reading on his porcelain throne.

        • DellwoodBarker2 years ago

Thank you, Jessica, for taking the time to read and comment. Writing is like getting back on a bike. Used to do it a lot more when I was younger...a little rusty, but will continue to do!

The support here is bringing lots of light to my day.

I look forward to supporting other Readers who are writers here, as well. This is such an excellent platform to experiment and explore.

          🙏🏼

          1. Update (4/17/2021):

I have a fable half typed up and on its way soon.

I was cheering on man and mouse. The ways of killing mice by those sticky traps or the poison that dessicates the mice are horrific. When they poop in my silverware drawer—then they better leave or be annihilated. But THIS mouse was saved and led the savior to bravery. We are all due a happy ending!!! Yahoo!!!

Of mice and men. I really enjoyed this read. Getting into the mind of a fellow human and a little mouse. I’ve been stuck before too. It can be hard to get in that dark box alone.

      • DellwoodBarker2 years ago

P.s. I also Must acknowledge here (which in hindsight I could’ve expressed better above) the box being the encouragement and boundaries set down in Love by community to motivate action. The movement towards acceptance of the box as a bridge and not a final destination. Grateful that whilst going into the box alone I am not alone in those who set down the box as a remedy.

Thank you! And yes...”that dark box alone”... the box is a bridge.

Congratulations DellwoodBarker! It takes such courage to put your writing “out there.” I love stories with depth and soul - insights into one’s own life experiences. Your comments, in and of themselves, have been really interesting and a glimpse into your unique and sensitive worldview. Expanding into sharing short stories on Readup is a wonderful adventure to explore. I look forward to witnessing the evolution of your creative journey. Bravo!

Pegeen, thank you! I enjoy and value our exchanges here. I hope more of our community Readers here share as writers, as well.

I appreciate your use of “sensitive”. A personal mantra-intention set this month has been: “I honor my highly sensitive self.”

So much joy found in waking up to this bountiful support.

Great story. Memorable. I will never forget the image of the mouse in the bathtub. I know the feeling!

I understand how I am stuck in a bathtub of my own demise and how I need to set down deep intentions and speak them daily like the box

      ❤️❤️❤️

        Thanks for reading, Chrissetiana!
