I’m a realistic person, a practical person, but when I write fiction I go to weird, secret places in myself. What I am doing is an exploration of myself — inside myself. If you close your eyes and dive into yourself you can see a different world. It’s like exploring the cosmos, but inside yourself. You go to a different place, where it’s very dangerous and scary, and it’s important to know the way back.
This made me laugh out loud because, as a poet writing for over 30 years, it rang so true to me. I loved when he talked about going into scary places in yourself and the importance of knowing the way back. I would never have read him if not for Readup and I’m delighted to have discovered him. He’s a total original! Thanks for posting!!

I have only read his short stories and I have to say, he always pulls me curiously along. Very imaginative and unique style.
A short interview with this still mysterious man. Fun to see it popping back up a year after Deep posted it!
