Interesting. I always thought the darker the roast, the more caffeine. I am not a napper and certainly wouldn’t be able to after coffee! Don’t believe the 20 minute “kick in” rule.
I can't nap either. Often it takes me more than 20 minutes just to fall asleep.

I've heard a few different numbers. From what I understand, the coffee has to pass through our stomach and into our intestines before the caffeine can be absorbed, so it will definitely take a bit of time. The exact time probably varies a bit from person to person, and a lot depending on how much we've eaten recently and such.
There are some other things to consider though. Just the act of drinking something very hot will probably make us more alert in itself, instantly. And let's not forget the placebo effect; if we believe the coffee is making us more alert, then it is, even before it's had time to pass through our digestion.
I agree! Just the smell of my delicious brew makes me feel more alive and awake before taking the first sip! I get up so psyched for my coffee and the day ahead. I have had times when I can’t have coffee, such as a fasting blood work up. I dread those mornings. Luckily that’s only once a year.
This also reset my intuition! Another one: when filter coffee and and an espresso shot are made from the same quantity of coffee, I believe I read that the filter coffee has more caffeine because it had contact with the water for longer. Intuitively, I’d thought an espresso tastes stronger, thus has more caffeine. Nope.
Yikes this is low quality content
Care to elaborate? Which parts do you deem low quality & why?

Oh lol, I actually thought you wanted me to call you for details on your nappucino grudge. I'm still willing to do that!
Right. I've deleted my comment quoting it. You should probably delete yours too and post a new one, without the email signature. :-p

Interesting nappucino. Who would have thought?
Agreed. Sounds like a worth while experiment to me ☕️😴
