The idea of AI increasing our workloads rather than decreasing them is a perplexing one. (And no I’m not referring to Perplexity, the LLM, lol).

Shouldn’t this be a labor saving technology? Why do we find ourselves doing more work with AI?

What does our increased incapacity to do work without AI say about what we are doing to our minds? Our consciousness, our souls?
