And to retain it! I learned Guarani (mentioned in the article) when I lived in Paraguay. I also learned Yopara, Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese.
Today my Spanish is passable, my Portuguese is really piggybacking off Spanish, I remember almost no Yopara and a few snatches of Guarani.
How does this beautiful human hold on to it all?!!!

An absolute 10! I would love a follow up story to see what happens to Vaughn. Hopefully a chance at a career using his extraordinary talent for languages.
