I truly love this. Stories are magical, taking us on journeys of unknown territories that change us in the best of ways. I have worked in hospice and it never ceased to amaze me the stories that not only the dying person shared with me but the countless residents of the nursing homes in which they lived also shared. Outward appearances never convey the absolute amazing lives these people have lived. Stories are portals that once entered can strip away our prejudices and judgements to find our sacred connections and shared humanity. I always have time for a story. It is one of the most intimate of offerings imaginable.
