Absolute 10 - must read! This is as exciting as space travel! I think the potential use of psychedelics in a controlled environment in the treatment of different mental conditions and end of life anxiety to be welcomed and explored. The studies mentioned here sound promising. I would certainly pay for the experience from a spiritual perspective. It would be great to go beyond an “ego tyrant” and let go. I love the idea of the brains of children are like those of people on psychedelics - kids are essentially always tripping! Love it!

Excellent comment! Sensing micro-dose experiences in near future with intention set and Deep Trust Guides. Also, receiving educational signs from universe to incorporate more Lion’s Mane Mushroom to heal nervous system shaking.

Another phenomenal read from Pollan! This read gets really great once diving into trip experiences.

The available vocabulary isn’t always up to the task of recounting an experience that seemingly can take someone out of body, across vast stretches of time and space, and include face-to-face encounters with divinities and demons and previews of their own death.

      1. Update (8/2/2021):

And if you confront anything frightening, “look the monster in the eye and move towards it. . . . Dig in your heels; ask, ‘What are you doing in my mind?’ Or, ‘What can I learn from you?’ Look for the darkest corner in the basement, and shine your light there.”

“Oh God,” he said, “it all makes sense now, so simple and beautiful.”

Around noon, Mettes asked to take a break. “It was getting too intense,” he wrote. They helped him to the bathroom. “Even the germs were beautiful, as was everything in our world and universe.”

“From here on, love was the only consideration. It was and is the only purpose. Love seemed to emanate from a single point of light. And it vibrated.” He wrote that “no sensation, no image of beauty, nothing during my time on earth has felt as pure and joyful and glorious as the height of this journey.”
