      Save the bunnies!! 🐰

In the universe of human-animal relations, rabbits occupy a liminal space. They are the only creatures we regularly keep as pets in our homes that we also, just as regularly, eat or wear.

Covid lingers all around this story, but it only gets actually mentioned once, in a perfectly strange way. Susan Orlean is an expert.

Seriously. I really wasn't looking to read about rabbits last night but after reading the first paragraph I was just like, "Oh ok, I'm going to really enjoy the next 25 minutes reading this."

I can never read her without thinking of her character in Adaptation w Nick Cage.

But yeah, she’s really “easy” reading in a great way. Her books are the definition of page-turners

I'm going to go toss a carrot to the cottontail that lives in my yard after reading this. Super interesting article!
