This one has me “on pause.” Even when I was a kid, I never made up a Christmas list for Santa. And I never did a wedding or baby registry. I get the practicality of it but I never liked the rituals that went with these lists. Sitting on Santa’s lap or, god forbid, sitting in the middle of a room opening gifts while everyone looked on. Usually a person was in charge of making a hat for the recipient with bows from all the gifts. From my perspective, it was incredibly ridiculous and terminally boring. I have always preferred giving a special card with money inside. But that’s me. Would love to hear from others about their own personal experiences with this.
