This got me thinking that periodontics - the whole thing - might be fake news!? It all wigs me out because I recently sat through an expensive (and painful!) three-day heavy novicane (sp?) extravaganza, so agro that I fainted once, passed out right in the chair.

Health is everything. A blessing. Sacred.

Having practiced dentistry for 32 years, I can say that all my colleagues that I personally knew were honest, ethical and caring dentists. I did find out from several patients and other professionals that one particular local dentist seemed to have a dental practice similar to Lund, where every filling required a root canal and a crown. The evidence against Lund is appalling but hopefully in the minority. I can’t even put Dr. In front of his name. He’s a disgrace and hopefully will be prosecuted for his crimes!

I think this article points to the micro within the macro. Wherever you have fear, there is an opportunity to be exploited and manipulated. Whether it’s healthcare, religion, education etc...It’s up to the individual to take responsibility in all matters of their own affairs. Now I understand that there are those that are less fortunate and need help and I’m certainly not advocating “survival of the fittest.” Hopefully those needing help have family, friends or an organization in place to assist. But for the majority, I think it’s wise to be your own advocate.
