As a former massage therapist and current Reiki Practitioner, I have worked with many bodies. And I’ve discovered it’s innate Intelligence and how it’s always communicating with us, giving us feedback. Many times people have gently cried on my table due to released trauma while working with them. It’s a wonderful tool to use along with various other modalities such as tapping, deep breathing, Qi Gong, meditation and walks in nature. The body needs space and quiet to communicate. It also needs love, patience and compassion. If there is a serious suppressed trauma, then the service of a qualified trauma therapist would be necessary.
