      I happened to see the swarms on the news and it’s really hard to wrap your head around this. This seems like a disaster that is hard to contain. Drastic measures are needed because famine is a given at this point. And to think spraying pesticides the only answer is seriously depressing. Since they know that cyclones in the Indian Ocean is a predictor of locust swarms, and they had an unprecedented 8 in 2019, something should have been done a lot earlier to prevent this. Prevention seems the better solution, as this is a dog chasing its tail.
