Max Geller was a middle school friend of my son. It is hard for me to think of anyone as cocky and disrespectful. Smart though. Maybe he was right about Renoir but I always thought Max had just found a new way of getting attention.
That’s interesting! I smiled when you said “Maybe he was right about Renoir” because I allowed for that too. However, I do really like Renoir’s Boat Party painting. There is a criteria in the art world in which to judge a painting such as composition, texture, shape etc…but I feel basically art is subjective. And, for me, certainly not something to get upset about to the point of protesting with signs outside of a museum. But to each their own, as they say. And, Max did get our attention!
