I had no idea of this part of Russian history. It helps me to understand the continuous "appetite" of the Russian government to keep conquering and controlling other countries. The fear of starvation may be in their DNA.

This reads like science fiction or some B rated horror movie. Truly mind blowing. Humbling, to say the least. I had no idea of this famine in Russia. Thanks Readup for shining a light in another area of my ignorance!

      Very interesting. Also sad.

Whoa. Grisly! And yes, definitely very interesting and sad.

I know zilch about Russian history, so I enjoyed the learning opportunity. "How to Serve Man," is a strange, awesome title.

Stuff like this stretches my imagination. Such extreme suffering is basically just impossible for me to imagine.
