Much to discuss here. I’m a fan of the IndieWeb movement, but I don’t think I agree with Cal that “there’s a strong case” that the IndieWeb servers-focused approach avoids “all the woes.”
I really love the last section of this article. This:

I think we’ll see a lot of both. I think we’ll see (1) decrease in screen time AND (2) better use of time spent. That doesn’t seem like a lot to ask. That actually seems really basic, and non-contradictory.
