Great article which brought back several memories of dolls, not just Barbie but Betsey Wetsey andChatty Cathy. I saw the movie with strong, smart women friends and we were delighted, amused and saddened at the appropriate times. It’s a very loud YES to women and our culture.
Netflix has a documentary series named The Toys That Made Us, and one episode is about Barbie. Much of the information is of course the same as this article, but told in a different way. Worth a watch in my opinion.
I'm also hoping to catch the Barbie film before it leaves theatres!
