This article is hopeful and optimistic, which is wonderful, but I think that the long/big/real solution to homelessness has very little to do with government programs. Humanity itself is on the verge of a moral awakening in which we'll realize that there is no justifiable reason to allow people to starve and freeze in the streets. That would solve the problem. Everyone needs to learn to not walk past people who clearly need help and - bam! - problem solved.
