I lost my luggage on a flight this winter, and got it delivered to my temporary address the day after. Actually everyone from that connecting flight lost their luggage, which seems like either a pretty huge oversight from the two airlines involved, or a calculated decision based on estimated delayed flight cost versus estimated lost luggage compensations.
