For years I thought being reachable all the time was a sign of productivity and reliability. Then I realized it was just a habit I had never questioned. This piece reflects on what happened when I consciously chose to design my unavailability, and why being unavailable by design might actually be the most human centered choice in a world of constant pings. Curious to hear how others handle the always on expectation.
