As I’ve done in Italy, I try to distribute my content across as many platforms as possible, redundantly and depending on the type of “landlord” I’m dealing with. I also have my personal website where I keep everything.
I’m relatively new to Medium, but I plan to do the same here. I already keep all my articles and images backed up, and I’m building a minimal site to make them permanently accessible.
That said, I think Medium still offers more control compared to platforms like Facebook. The level of risk seems proportional to how aggressive the platform’s business model is.

After 30 years in digital strategy, I still see people renting what they could own. Online homes matter as much as real ones.
