Great sense of service. Similar efforts like this, locally, make me hopeful and excited that people still pay attention to the needs of their community.
So spot on. I love this piece. It's a good call on the sum total of our lives being people, not your efforts or ticked off boxes to better yourself. We really are no good alone.
Amazing. Glad to have made that connection to Power's character.
God, I wish we had these!
Also, very important from the abbot, Placid Solari,
“For us, the question is: How do you use the tool so it supports and enhances your purpose or mission and you don’t get owned by it?”
This was brutal. I didn't even know the MetaVerse was 'officially' packed up 'cause it still seems promising or at least fun.

There's really no manual to life but this enriching speech might just border on becoming one. I'll definitely be coming back to this one.
Nothing is ever finally safe. Every important battle is fought and re-fought. We need to develop a resilient, indomitable morale that enables us to face those realities and still strive with every ounce of energy to prevail. You may wonder if such a struggle — endless and of uncertain outcome — isn’t more than humans can bear. But all of history suggests that the human spirit is well fitted to cope with just that kind of world.
I keep encountering Alan Turing, and it's his birthday today. Have a read.
