The titan had made several voyages that worked out before, and I can understand somewhat that this previous success lead to (misguided) confidence. But ignoring known facts about the safety of carbon fiber is just super reckless. As is entrusting your life to uncertified experimental technology.

This opened my eyes wider, as I did not know the full story. Really tragic on many levels. It would be horrific if we don’t learn from this.
