I remember many years ago taking an ethics course with a friend at our local community college. Euthanasia was one of our topics. There are so many questions to consider that I remember feeling exhausted after the class. It’s a Pandora’s box.
I just went through this with Gary. Threw him a big 70th bday bash and 4 days later he fell and severed his spinal cord at C4/5
After 2 weeks of medical care we determined he wouldn’t recover. The doctor pushed morphine and Dilaudid as we surrounded him and he slipped away in 3 hours time. It was not hospice. He was in West Palm Beach at an acute care hospital. I was grateful
