Meg Smaker’s story reads like that of a super hero. What a remarkable woman. I’m in awe of her courage, determination and intelligence. Inspiring. The controversy within the documentary film industry is also compelling. Oddly enough, it may work in Meg’s favor in the long run. I will definitely donate to her go fund me campaign.
A disturbing glimpse into the insane internal politics of the documentary film industry. The levels of ignorance and cowardice on display by industry professionals is sickening, as is the complete lack of respect that the filmmakers who are protesting the documentary have for the viewer.
This might sound like an overreaction but I'd encourage everyone to listen to Sam Harris's interview with Meg Smacker for more context: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rec9wVWa1IA
I would not take a stance in this debate before having seen the documentary. I think it’s unfortunate that people in the industry seem to do so!

The political correctness police are like the morality police in Iran. This sounds like a film I’d definitely find fascinating. Thanks for posting!!!

Happy to see that she set up a gofundme: https://www.gofundme.com/f/the-unredacted-jihad-rehab
Thanks for posting this Jeff, such an unbelievable story. Loved the interview - to hear her own words. What a bad ass!
